Trust Me, I'm Lying

The sun has risen over thy blessed lands of Employment and Opportunity for yet another beautiful day. I am sure that you know which magical place this is. Generally, this area tends to be defined as an estimated 65% of any territory found outside of the Greek borders. I know that you are sad. This brings you down. No matter how many skyscrapers or new types of hipsters you feast on with a naked eye, it's unlikely that this sight will make up for the lost sun rays that didn't land on your Ray Ban ladden face. And of course that delightful summer breeze... from the very first days of May onwards. Not to mention your family and loved ones.

Not only have we taken the hard route to make our dreams come true but more often than not Greek immigrants are unsatisfied with the lifestyle their money (or their deeply-rooted Greek idiosyncracy) can buy.

One way to make your life abroad a tad more tolerable [apart from actually letting go of all the biases and be extremely open to adhere to new ways of entertainment and generally open to actually redefine what it means to enjoy yourself] is to either start smoking and drinking heavily or to start exercising like a tri-athlete. Be sure also to update what you thought was decent social skills on your part and simply smile and listen more, until you find someone who makes you feel more at home or of course someone who will make 'home' less of an ideal.
